Repair and maintenance services

Tender description

Derry City and Strabane District Council wishes to appoint 6 suitably qualified and experienced firms, for each panel, in the following disciplines: (a) general building maintenance services; (b) ground works services; (c) mechanical/plumbing services; (d) electrical services; (e) painting/decorating services (dedicated recognised painting contractors only); (f) fencing services — to include all types of security/boundary fencing, hand railing and guard railing. The services required, within each panel, shall consist of planned and unplanned works comprising of upgrades, refurbishments, fit outs, demolitions and running repairs. The tender is for a period of 3 years. Works to include all types of building/remedial works including: — block/stud walls, — 1st and 2nd fix joinery, — roofing, — plastering, — repair/replacement of rain water goods, — play area repairs, — transportation/erection/dismantling of equipment for Council events/festivals. It is envisaged 6 suppliers will be appointed to this panel. Cleaning/servicing and installation of drainage, footpaths, kerbs, bollards and making safe potholes and trip hazards. It is envisaged 6 suppliers will be appointed to this panel. — servicing and repair of gas, — oil and bio-mass renewable energy heating systems, — pumps, — sanitary ware, — showers, — kitchens, — ventilation systems, — foul water systems and all hot and cold water systems. It is envisaged 6 suppliers will be appointed to this panel. Maintain all electrical systems to include: — lighting, — emergency lighting, — external lighting, — power, — control panels for heating and ventilation systems, — boiler plane, — fire alarms, — lightning protection – single and 3 phase systems, — renewable energy systems and PV Panels. Provide minor works certification when required. Ensure works are carried out to current NICEIC requirements. It is envisaged 6 suppliers will be appointed to this panel. — internal and external painting of council owned facilities, — civic art, — street furniture to include lamp posts and railings, — play area equipment and wooden fencing. It is envisaged 6 suppliers will be appointed to this panel. — erection and maintenance of all types of security fencing/gates, — hand railing, — guard railing to include timber rail, — palisade, — paladin and ibex fencing. It is envisaged 6 suppliers will be appointed to this panel.
