Tender description

Construction project to build a new community hub and leisure facility. A Design Team has already been appointed who will take the design to planning. The construction procurement route will be confirmed following the market engagement day and on publication of the contract notice. The requirement is for a construction company to be selected, appointed and to enter into contract with Wiltshire Council to work with the council’s representatives and the current design team who will be novated to appointed contractor to complete the technical design and to construct and handover the completed facility by the end of December 2020. This Prior Information Notice (PIN) is not a call for competition for the purposes of Regulation 26(9) of the Public Contracts regulation 2015 — a specific call for competition for this planned procurement is likely be published by means of a contract notice in Winter 2018. The purpose of this PIN is an early notification to the market of the Council’s intention to publish a contract notice for this project in the next few months. It is anticipated that contract will be awarded to the successful construction contractor in Spring 2019 with project to commence immediately after. This PIN is also to advise the market of a market engagement event which will be held on Wednesday 24.10.2018, starting at 10:00 at the Library in Melksham. Firms should confirm their attendance confirmed via email to the following Campusbuild@wiltshire.gov.uk There are no procurement documents to be completed now. Organisations that express interest in this PIN will be automatically contacted when the tender documents are released.
