Tender description

The Joint Equipment Loans Service (JELS) currently provides equipment to clients who live in the county of Northumberland or who are registered with a Northumberland GP in order to help them maintain their independence in the community by continuing to live in their own homes. JELS has appointed a supplier to undertake the inspection and servicing, and call out repairs. For electrical and mechanical beds and pneumatic pressure relieving home loans equipment. The Tender was divided into 2 Lots for the above requirements: — Lot 1 Service and Repair Contract for Electrical and/or Mechanical Beds, — Lot 2 Service and Repair Contract for Electrical and Pneumatic Pressure Relieving Home Loans Equipment. Lot 1 Service and Repair Contract for Electrical and/or Mechanical Beds. The Joint Equipment Loans Service (JELS) is looking to appoint a supplier to undertake the electrical and/or mechanical inspection and servicing, and call out repairs for electrical and mechanical beds. The equipment is owned by JELS and is located within the boundaries of the county of Northumberland unless otherwise advised. The equipment is normally located in Clients homes, but is also supplied to Residential and Nursing homes. Inspection/servicing is required once per annum and must conform to the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 and include Portable Appliance Test (PAT) certification. The indicative annual volume of inspections/services is 1 820 with 256 out of hours call outs. Lot 2 Service and Repair Contract for Electrical and Pneumatic Pressure Relieving Home Loans Equipment. The equipment is owned by JELS and is located within the boundaries of the county of Northumberland unless otherwise advised. The equipment is normally located in Clients homes, but is also supplied to Residential and Nursing homes. Inspection/servicing are required once per annum and must conform to the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 and include Portable Appliance Test (PAT) certification. The indicative annual volume of inspections/services is 675 with 530 out of hours call outs.
