English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) for Health Service

Tender description

The project's primary aim is to address health inequalities in the most deprived areas of West London CCG, through teacher led courses in English. It will be part of wider library health information initiatives, which include health promotion events in partnership with NHS using library sites, and engagement with BME and minority organisations. It is anticipated that the courses will have an impact on the following: • A and E attendance • Employability • Social and digital inclusion • Health and wellbeing • Have positive impact on effectiveness of GP services and budgets addressing, among other things, generic prescribing and tackle growth of antimicrobial resistance • English language skills • Increased use of library services by learners and their families
