Tender description

Scottish Water is establishing a framework responsible for the supply and distribution of key chemicals throughout Scotland. This is a long term collaborative arrangement to ensure the following benefits: — create a collaborative approach to managing the wider supply chain, — monitor usage rates, — health and Safety support, — technical and product expertise, — improved customer service, — surety of supply. Note — Estimated value is calculated over an eight year period (4 year fixed and optional 2 x 2 years of extensions). Chemicals required through the framework include but are not limited to: — Ammonium Sulphate, — Caustic Soda (Sodium Hydroxide), — Hydrochloric Acid, — Phosphoric Acid (MSP), — Mono Sodium Phosphate (MSP), — Poly-Aluminium Chloride (PAC) (Alba 18), — Sodium Carbonate, — Sodium Hypochlorite (Hypo), — Sulphuric Acid, — Citric Acid, — Sodium Bisulphite, — Scottish Water will look to optimise the number of suppliers to give best value but reserves the right to appoint a single source supplier if deemed best value.
