Social Security Scotland is the new social security agency in Scotland. Responsibility for some social security benefits is transferring from the UK Government to Scottish Ministers on a phased basis over the next few years. Social Security Scotland has already invested in a case management platform, IBM’s Social Program Management (SPM) Platform, for the first wave of benefits, and work is already underway to develop, configure and integrate SPM for those first benefits. We now require support to develop, configure and integrate SPM for the disability benefits that will transfer to Scottish Ministers. The disability benefits are more complex than the benefits that are being delivered in the first wave and will require more sophisticated configuration of SPM and greater levels of integration between SPM and other systems. The Supplier will work as part of a multidisciplinary delivery team alongside Scottish Government resource and other Suppliers.
