Tender description

Network Rail is looking at possible opportunities to consolidate existing arrangements for the supply of steel materials, to supply a wider catalogue of steel works in support of our Route-based customers. The main aim of this exercise is to investigate ways to introduce flexibility in our procurement options, by allowing suppliers the opportunity to supply items in multiple sub-categories whilst covered by the same national framework. All queries and responses to the supplementary pack should be submitted before this time. General supply of Controlled SPS materials, including cast items, drop tubes, covering the full range of OHLE series designs. Typically items which interface with the live side of the system (cantilevers, insulators, clips and clamps) are classified as controlled. This is due to the safety critical nature of such products. Compliance with all Network Rail, ISO, EU and CE standards are a mandated requirement. Regardless of contract award, no procurement activity can take place before the product acceptance process has been completed for each product. General supply of fixtures and fittings materials, including nuts, bolts and washers, covering the full range of OHLE series designs. General supply of wire clips and clamps, including for example: tension clamps, mechanical clamps, saddle clamps, electrical clamps, ball swivel slips, covering the full range of OHLE series designs.
