HMRC are giving potential suppliers early notification of a possible requirement to supply saving through payroll services to support delivery of Help to Save, a new Ministerial policy initiative. The purpose of this Prior Information Notice is to alert interested parties and invite suppliers to an engagement day on 3.10.2018. Help to Save (HTS) is a Government-backed savings scheme to encourage working people on low incomes to build up their savings and become regular savers. HMRC is lead delivery agency and working alongside National Savings and Investment (executive agency of the Chancellor of the Exchequer) to deliver this service. To optimise uptake and reach out to a broader range of customers we are seeking ideas to innovate the service and take advantage of technological change, to meet Government and customer expectations, for faster, more efficient and secure money management and payment solutions. Key objectives: — easy route for customers to encourage regular savings with the scheme potential to quickly reach 1000s of new customers in regular employment, — advertising of HtS scheme of 3rd parties, — make API’s available for use by 3rd parties, — support take up of accounts and regular savings through promotion of savings behaviour with HtS customers https://www.gov.uk/get-help-savings-low-income
