Tender description

The University is seeking to award a contract with a single provider for the provision of travel services. The provider will need to demonstrate a value-added service and the requirements cover the provision of a mainly online managed travel service with some offline support. The service should cover all rail, air travel, hotel accommodation (including budget hotels) and other requirements related to business travel for both domestic (within the boundaries of the UK) and overseas travel. The University wishes to contract with a single supplier for the provision of Travel Management Services across the University. We are seeking to appoint a company who can provide high levels of support and can consistently demonstrate value for money. We require an easy to use online booking solution for air, rail, hotel and overseas car hire and have access to an offline support team where appropriate. We are also looking for process efficiencies in the booking and approval process as well as effectively capturing the University’s duty of care requirement. There is also a diverse range of services required by the University from budget hotels (such as Youth Hostels), package holidays, student field trips, European Rail through to Business Class travel. The contract will be for a 4 year period from “Go-live” with an option to extend annually (subject to performance) for further periods to a maximum of 2 years. The contract will not exceed a maximum term of 6 years (72 months) from the date of award.
