Tender description

The BBC is seeking supplier information and recommendations for video compositing and rendering solutions for our current HTML digital video template producers. The Graphics Rendering Service (GRAS) recommendation should act as a foundation for a scalable platform for the rendering of a wide range of HTML based graphics input. The BBC would welcome responses to this RFI in order to inform our thinking prior to any potential procurement exercise. Responding to this RFI will allow the BBC to: — build an understanding of current solutions available in the marketplace, — gain feedback on: —— the availability of solutions in the marketplace, —— whether there is one solution to meet the needs, or whether these would need to be met by differing solutions, —— whether functionality not currently met is on a supplier’s roadmap and any cost/timescales associated with building said functionality in, —— indicative costs and timescales for the on boarding of the solution, —— support of solution, —— any barriers to the implementation of the product /solution. For the avoidance of doubt, any information provided to the BBC in response to this RFI will be treated as confidential and non-binding. No contract will be awarded as a consequence of this RFI process.
