All queries/ questions should be sent via the Curtis Fitch portal project page "Southampton City Council has taken a lease on 12900 sq. ft. of former storage space on the second floor of the Marlands Shopping Centre in the city centre and wish to receive proposals for the provision, installation and maintenance of an IT network for this space for the initial three years from opening (expected February 2019). The Council is making an investment of more than £1.5m in the conversion and fit out of the space to create a space aimed at encouraging the establishment and growth of knowledge-based businesses Network will contribute to the City Council delivering its objectives: • To nurture new and growing knowledge-based businesses • To encourage collaborative endeavour between businesses and to increase academic/business interaction in the development of new businesses • To generate new business networks and to provide links into existing sources of expertise, business support and funding • To provide a hub for community digital inclusion initiatives The building will provide a mix of cellular office and meeting space, maker space, a photographic studio and flexible open plan space for use by co-workers and for meetings and events. This element of the project is to dovetail into the other project components; fit out, and the management of the service to run the facility. The chosen provider of IT equipment, software and support services (to be procured under a single contract) will demonstrate both the technical resources and organisational capabilities required to specify, install, maintain and support a leading-edge solution which is capable of meeting current and future occupier needs."
