Tender description

Bournemouth Borough Council are seeking to appoint a suitably experienced sole contractor for the provision of a term highway contract to support the delivery of their Transportation and general civil engineering works programmes. Work will be ordered on a Task Order basis and will typically include general highway improvements, road safety and traffic calming schemes, cycling schemes and urban realm and streetscape improvements. The contract term is 3 years with no contractual extension. Contract start date (provisionally): 21.1.2019. Contract end date (provisionally): 20.1.2022. Tender documentation is currently being prepared and will be issued in due course. The estimated contract value for this opportunity is up to 8 000 000 GBP. However there is no guarantee as to the overall value of the work that may be ordered over this period. This Prior Information Notice (PIN) has been published to provide market awareness of the opportunity. It is anticipated that the tender documents will be issued in October 2018.
