The Provision of Hard FM Services

The British Geological Survey (BGS) will shortly be embarking on a full Open OJEU procurement to appoint a new Hard Services Provider. The estimated value of this contract is £3.85 million over a 3-year contract. Ahead of commencing this exercise, we would like to invite potential suppliers to attend site to allow us to gain further understanding of the market. Our hope is that is engaging with industry experts, that we can ensure that this requirement is well placed when it hits the market in the near future. The key activities for this contract will be: • Planned Preventative Maintenance in accordance with SFG20 • Reactive Repairs to both the fabric and mechanical & electrical systems in accordance with SFG20. • Project Management. There is a requirement for a Project Management service to support the in-house teams • Attendance at meetings: 1. Weekly SLA Meetings 2. Monthly Finance and Contract Review meetings. 3. Quarterly QHSE Meetings / Auditing • Management of sub-contract Ahead of commencing this exercise, we would like to invite potential suppliers to attend site to allow us to gain further understanding of the market. Our hope is that is engaging with industry experts, that we can ensure that this requirement is well placed when it hits the market in the near future. The Supplier day will consist of a presentation by The British Geological Survey to outline the scope of this contract and the key factors for BGS, followed by an opportunity for suppliers to discuss this with the Contracting authority either in a group setting or during one of the 1-on-1 sessions. The aim of the day will be for potential providers to help define the business requirements, specification and contracting strategy in alignment with the industry. Equally, BGS want to collaborate with suppliers by sharing these business requirements at an early stage and actively seeking supplier feedback. The Supplier day will take place on Tuesday 25th September 2018 at the British Geological Services Headquarters, Keyworth, Nottingham, NG12 5GG.
