N20 O'Rourke's Cross & N24 Beary's Cross Road Improvement Scheme

Tender description

Limerick City & County Council proposes two separate improvement schemes at the N20 / R518 O’Rourke’s Cross Junction and at the N24 / R513 N24 / Beary’s Cross Junction [the “Schemes”]. The primary objectives of this ground investigation and surveying contract are as follows: (i) Determine the composition and strength of the superficial deposits (ii) Recover samples for geotechnical laboratory testing (iii) Assess groundwater conditions (iv) Establish the location of utility services and ducts along the route of each Scheme and at all tie-in areas (v) Produce a report on the services and ground conditions likely to be encountered during the construction of each Scheme; (vi) Provide a topographical survey of the site and surrounding area relating to each Scheme. The reports and topographical surveys will be used by the Client in the preparation of the detailed design of the Schemes. They will form part of the Tender Documents for the Contracts to construct each of the two Schemes and will be referred to during the subsequent construction phases.
