Small Value Surfacing Works 2018-2021

This opportunity is advertised via https://www.the-chest.org.uk/ Cumbria County Council requires a framework for a range of smaller surfacing contractors spread around the County. This framework is being procured to fill the gap between the current in-house capability and the three Core Surfacing Contracts. The aim is to strengthen the depth of local provision and procure the work from the most appropriate and efficient suppliers. This framework will deliver lower value surfacing schemes, machine laid patching schemes and footway/cycleway schemes. Surfacing schemes will generally be less than 250m2 in continuous surface area and work package values are generally expected to be less than £100,000. The framework may also be used to commission a surfacing gang with plant on a day basis to support in-house delivery of schemes.
