RE ROOFING OF COUNCIL OWNED DWELLINGS WITHIN THE HARROGATE DISTRICT 2018 - 2019

Tender description

The Council is responsible for carrying out the re-roofing of approximately 11 blocks of flats within the Harrogate area. These roofs have been deemed to have reached the end of their life expectancy and a full replacement programme is to be completed by the 31st March 2019. Works will comprise of pre-start surveys with Harrogate Borough Council's Maintenance Surveyor and agreeing a schedule of work, with provisional quantities, based on the schedule of rates. A start date will be agreed with the tenant, and confirmed by the contractor at least a week before the work is due to start. General Requirements: All roofing works shall comply with the Code of Practice B.S.5534 (2015): Slating and Tiling, subject to any qualifications given hereunder. The contract will run from the date of appointment until 31st March 2019, subject to satisfactory performance and budget.
