Tender description

The primary objective of the proposed upcoming Home Office procurement is to support the transformation strategy of Her Majesty's Passport Office (HMPO) to become a modern digital business. The service will maintain business continuity of a range of existing back-office services, to support passport application processing; reducing and removing reliance on the current paper workflow; and removing geographical processing constraints. It is envisaged that the required services will include (but not be limited to), secure handling and digitisation of documentation, cashiering and payment processing, checking and validation of documentation, physical storage and retrieval of documentation and return of documentation to the applicant. The proposed length of the contract is a 5-year initial term, with options to extend with an estimated value of £80m. A Market Engagement Event is currently targeted to be held on 18.9.2018.
