Tender description

Gas Networks Ireland (GNI) intends to run a competitive procurement process for the provision of Transmission Pipeline Emergency Response and Repair Services. As part of this process GNI wishes to take market soundings from interested parties to identify capabilities, service cost factor(s) and general market dynamics. GNI requires a single supplier agreement to provide an emergency response and repair service, including materials and equipment, in accordance with all relevant gas industry/statutory regulations including, but not limited, to I.G.E.M. TD1/TD9/TD13, IS328 or equivalents. The capability to manage response to pipeline emergencies will be a critical element of the successful Applicant's responsibility. This will include: — a dedicated telephone number operational 24/7/365 to contact the service providers’ on-call Engineer or technical expert; — mobilisation of specialised personnel (e.g. pipeline damage assessor) to site within 12 hours of notification by GNI. If the service provider is not based on the island of Ireland mobilisation will be to a port or airport which provides direct access to the Republic of Ireland within 12 hours and arrival at the required location within 24 hours of notification by GNI; — mobilisation of required equipment and materials to site within 12 hours of notification by GNI.
