Provision of Security Services at Warrington Bus Interchange

Tender description

Warrington Bus Interchange opened in August 2006 and was built in conjunction with the extension and upgrade of the adjoining Golden Square shopping centre. The interchange consists of 19 departure stands, all are served from the main concourse building, which contains toilets, access to the shopping centre, Information Office, Bus Operator Management areas, Crew Facilities and various retail concessions. There is access to the shopping centre via escalators and lifts. The exits on the eastern side of the building lead onto Winwick Street, on which can be found a taxi rank and Warrington Central Railway Station. The service will comprise of general security to the facility between the following hours: Monday to Saturday (except Public Holidays) 0500 and 2330 Sundays and Public Holidays 0800 and 1800 Please note that the facility is closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day. It is intended that the contract will commence on 1st November 2018 and be for an initial period of three years, with options to extend the contract by two further periods of one year.
