North Ayrshire Council has identified an opportunity to introduce an Employee Loan and Financial Education Service. The service should be accessible to a wide range of employees and delivered in line with all relevant law and guidance. This procurement aims to complement the employee benefits already offered by North Ayrshire Council. North Ayrshire Council has identified an opportunity to introduce an Employee Loan and Financial Education Service. North Ayrshire Council intend to appoint a single supplier to deliver the following services: 1) Providing accessible, affordable low-cost loans to employees of North Ayrshire Council which can be paid back via salary deductions. The loans should be made available to a wide range of employees including but not limited to employees on low incomes, employees with no credit history, employees aiming to consolidate high cost debt and / or increase disposable income. The supplier must assess the feasibility of loans on a case by case basis in line with law and guidance. 2) Providing a financial education service. Financial education services must be accessible to a wide range of employees including but not limited to shift based employees, manual workforce employees and employees with no internet access. This proposal aims to complement the employee benefits already offered by North Ayrshire Council.
