The Fry Model Railway and collection was created by Cyril fry and his family over a period of almost 40 years. It is important historically as it contains a model of every train that ran on the railways of Ireland including experimental trains like the turf burning model. It is up to date with the Dart and Luas both represented. Fingal County Council has awarded a contract for the proposed exhibition, interpretation, design and installation of the Fry model Railway which will be mounted and presented to the public as a visitor attraction in the newly restored and extended historic Malahide Casino building. The Fry Model Railway Collection will remain on display with public access during normal museum working hours. Fingal County Council intends on inviting interested parties to tender for the operation of the Malahide Casino/Fry Model Railway museum.
