Expressions of Interest for the Provision of APMS Procurements for Primary Medical Services in Summerfield Primary Care Centre and Primary Medical Services in Sandwell

NHS Arden & Greater East Midlands Commissioning Support Unit (NHS Arden & GEM CSU) on behalf of Sandwell and West Birmingham CCG (SWB CCG) would like to notify you of Market Engagement Event to inform you of an opportunity to provide Primary Medical Services in Birmingham at Summerfield Primary Care Centre and Primary Medical Services in Sandwell (Great Bridge Health Centre and Parsonage Street vicinity). Expressions of interest are sought from providers for two Primary Medical Care Service contracts both with an anticipated start date of 1st April 2019 as the existing contracts will cease on 31st March 2019. To provide Primary Medical Services to the patient population in accordance with the core GMS Contract requirements. The contract for Primary Medical Services in Sandwell will be delivered from two sites (Great Bridge Health Centre being the main site and Parsonage Street being the branch site). The provider will be required to find their own premises for the branch site which must be within 1.5 miles of the current premises at Parsonage Street (West Bromwich), however, as an interim measure the current premises will be available for the first 12 months of the contract should this be required. The payment mechanism will be based on the GMS global sum rate (£87.92 in 2018/19) + 5% fixed top-up. The Market Engagement Event will; • Give an overview of the services to be provided • Provide details of the contract type, length and particular conditions • Explain the procurement process and the anticipated timeline. The event will take place on the afternoon of Tuesday 4th September 2018, 1.00 - 3.00pm in West Bromwich. Please register your interest in attending this event by Friday 28th August 2018. Places are strictly limited therefore reservations are limited to no more than 2 persons per organisation. Please note that this expression of interest has been designed to allow the market visibility of the proposed opportunity and support early engagement. The aim of the expression of interest exercise is to; 1. Support the CCGs informed decision making on the potential options on the future commissioning of these services; 2. To help refine the commissioning and procurement approach and; 3. To gauge the level of interest from the market of capable providers with capacity to deliver the services illustrated above. This is a market testing exercise and does not commit SWB CCG to carry out a procurement process. Current services will remain in place during this period in line with existing contracts and service level agreements. Providers who have expressed an interest in this market testing exercise will have the opportunity to submit a separate response to the Contract Notice as applicable.
