Tender description
The projects let under the Framework Agreement may be of a Small new-build extension, building refurbishment, Building alterations and Mechanical and Electrical repairs and replacement nature, including demolition of existing properties owned and / or used by the framework users, or a combination of all these aspects inclusive of any site related and external works associated with these projects. Examples of types of buildings / functionality that may require construction/maintenance works: Modular and portable buildings. Social Facilities, Daycare / Civic Centres,Crematoria, Cemeteries,Law and Order, Emergency Services, Further Education, Research / Laboratory / Testing / Scientific, Meteorological, Halls of Residence, Training, Health and Social Services. Special Medical. Subsidised Residential Accommodation, Retirement / Nursing / Residential / Children’s homes. Airport / Air Transport/Control Tower, Water Transport, Education including Kindergarten/Primary / Secondary schools, Special / Vocational / Technical colleges, University / Polytechnics Lecture Theatre, Language Lab. Commercial/Shopping. Covered / Open-air markets. Offices, Warehouses and Industrial. Recyclimg. Cold Storage / Workshops / Abattoirs / Agricultural/. Barns. General/Road/Rail Transport. Bus/RailwayStations. Garages/Car parks/Service-areas. Art gallery/Exhibition Centres/Museums/Artistic/Performance/Auditoria/Theatres/Libraries. Buildings of Historical or Architectural interest. Lodging/Hostels .Multifunctional. Leisure/Sports/ Culture/Ice Rinks/Swimming/Sports Ground/Gymnasia/Winter Sports. Demolition/ Site Preparation/Clearance/Paving/Surface Works. Flats/Houses/Sheltered Housing/ Multi-dwelling. The projects let under the Framework Agreement may be of a Small new-build extension, building refurbishment, Building alterations and Mechanical and Electrical repairs and replacement nature, including demolition of existing properties owned and / or used by the framework users, or a combination of all these aspects inclusive of any site related and external works associated with these projects Manchester City council and its partnering organisations wishes to transform the manner in which projects are procured and managed within the North West Region. The Council will adopt the principles of partnering through the development of longer term relationships through the supply chain, integrated design and construction teams, shared risk/rewards and performance management. The framework is intended to be used by Manchester City Council, and other North West local authorities but such other bodies as are referred and/or identified below may use and access the framework and each of such bodies may enter into individual call off contracts pursuant to the framework. Applications are invited from suitably experienced and capable providers of construction services who can provide high quality building construction works adopting Constructing Excellence principles and including early contractor involvement when required. Companies should be committed to partnering including working with clients and their partners, shared problem solving and continuous improvement.
