Tender description

London Luton Airport (LLA) is looking to appoint a contractor for the supply, servicing and maintenance of a Tray Return System (TRS) for the cabin baggage screening systems to meet the future requirements of LLA, the European ECAC and the DfT directives pertinent to the screening of passengers and their belongings. LLA will be tendering these services in 2 lots, this initial tender will be for a Tray Return System (TRS), once awarded, a tender will be issued for a software package to include rescreen stations to integrate with the chosen TRS. Bidders must have the ability to integrate with Smiths Detection X-Ray units and be prepared to work with the subsequently contracted software supplier to enable full integration of all systems. The contract will be a 3 years + 1 optional year + 1 optional year. LLA are looking to purchase 2 x TRS in 2018 and additional 2 in 2019. A further 3 may be required over the subsequent years. Any purchase is subject to budget approval. LLA will be tendering these services in 2 lots, this initial tender will be for a Tray Return System (TRS), once awarded, a tender will be issued for a software package to include re-screen stations to integrate with the chosen TRS. Winning bidders must have the ability to integrate with Smiths Detection X-Ray units and be prepared to work with the subsequently contracted software supplier to enable full integration of all systems. The contract will be held for a period of 3 years with the option to extend for 2 additional years on an annual basis (3 + 1 + 1). LLA are looking to purchase 2 Tray Return Systems in 2018 and additional 2 in 2019. A further 3 may be required over the subsequent years. Any purchase is subject to budget approval.
