Soft Market Testing for replacement VPN solution

Tender description

The Council is looking to engage with suppliers to obtain a clear understanding of the solutions and suppliers that are in market and the budget required for a replacement VPN solution. Council employees that are working remotely currently connect to the corporate network using Fortinet client as a Virtual Private Network (VPN) solution. At present there are approximately 1,500 users of the solution. A VPN is a private tunnel which securely connects to the council’s network giving the flexibility and agility to access corporate IT resources remotely. The supplier will be required to develop a technical solution, projecting implementation costs, and operational costs, return on investment and solution lifespan. The technical solution will determine how it will operate, how it will be maintained and all costs.
