Tender description

To provide a range of Security services to University College London. The existing scope of services provided occurs in both the inlying and outlying University buildings of the main Bloomsbury Campus and various student Halls of Residences. The existing scope of Security Services provided occurs in both the inlying and outlying University buildings of the main Bloomsbury Campus and various student Halls of Residences. It is an expectation that the existing scope of Security Services will be cascaded into additional UCL buildings throughout the duration of this Contract. The existing Security Services are primarily structured as follows: Building Attendant Services — not limited to: — undertake regular reception cover and out of hours cover, — maintain a secure environment, — offer assistance to all Students, Staff and visitors as appropriate, — report any incidents and security violations, — assist with all Fire Alerts and emergency evacuations Currently approx. 70 officers undertake these duties. Operations Services — not limited to: — provide 24 hour, 365 day security to the whole UCL estate, — patrol all buildings, thoroughfares and perimeters to an agreed specification, — respond to alarms and incidents, — open up and lock down buildings as agreed, — monitor all equipment in control room Currently approx. 70 officers undertake these duties. As well as the above there are also several management, supervisory and administration positions to cover.
