Tender description
Warrington Borough Council (the Council) is a public sector organisation with a pay bill of over 3 000 000 GBP per annum. Therefore the Council is liable to pay the apprenticeship levy. The levy is charged at a rate of 0,5 % of our annual pay bill and we are subject to the public sector apprenticeship target of 2.3. The Council is establishing a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) in accordance with the Public Contract Regulations 2015, Regulations 74 -76 (Light Touch). The Council invites applications from organisations that have the relevant experience and ability to demonstrate sufficient capacity for an apprenticeship provision. %. We are expected to achieve a minimum of 2.3 % apprenticeship starts each year. The Council is establishing a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) for Apprenticeship Provision New apprentices employed by the Council are employed under the same terms and conditions as all other employees. In addition they will also be subject to the Apprenticeship Agreement which they will sign on commencement. The Council will utilise its Levy funds to develop programmes of activity across all departments and Community Schools to up-skill its current workforce. Lot 1 of this opportunity is for the provision of apprentice training in the subject of Agriculture, Environmental and Animal Care. The Council is establishing a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) for Apprenticeship Provision New apprentices employed by the Council are employed under the same terms and conditions as all other employees. In addition they will also be subject to the Apprenticeship Agreement which they will sign on commencement. The Council will utilise its Levy funds to develop programmes of activity across all departments and Community Schools to up-skill its current workforce. Lot 2 of this opportunity is for the provision of apprentice training in the subject of Business and Administration. The Council is establishing a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) for Apprenticeship Provision New apprentices employed by the Council are employed under the same terms and conditions as all other employees.
