Tender description

This Framework is for the supply of Respiratory and Suction Consumables with products covering; Facemasks, nasal cannula, nebulisation products, oxygen tubing, venture barrels, sterile water, humidification products, catheters and connectors, air cushion, anaesthetic facemasks, manual resuscitators, re-breathing bags, corrugated tubing, resuscitation dummy / mannequin, anatomical anaesthetic facemasks, compressor nebulisor, spirometer, bacterial viral filter, suction catheters, suction tubing, yankauers, suction canisters, chest drainage devices, manual and powered suction devices. Precise quantities are unknown. It is anticipated that initial expenditure will be in the region of 35 000 000 GBP to 45 000 000 GBP in the first year of this Framework Agreement, however this is approximate only and the values may vary depending on the requirements of those bodies purchasing under the Framework Agreement. Estimated total value of 140 000 000 GBP to 180 000 000 GBP (24 months + 24 months). Products within this Lot are oxygen and aerosol therapy products used to administer oxygen or medicines via the breathing of a patient. Products will include oxygen facemask, nasal cannulas, oxygen tubes, venturi valves, oxygen catheter, humidifier kits, regulators and flow meters. Products within this Lot are used to support patients breathing and consciousness during anaesthesia. Products such as anaesthetic facemasks, carbon dioxide absorbers, and portable nitrous oxide and air gas delivery system for pain relief, corrugated and smooth tubing and mouthpieces. Resuscitation products relating to teaching and administering resuscitation to adult and children. Such as resuscitation systems, re-breathing bag, cardiopulmonary resuscitation masks and resuscitation dummies/mannequins. Products within this Lot are relating to Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease such as spirometers, peak flow meters, spacers for metered dose inhalers and carbon monoxide monitors. In addition, there are products with a wider scope covering respiratory physiotherapy such as baby respiration sensors, gas powered resuscitators, inspiratory muscle trainers, mucus clearing devices and cough assist devices. Products within this Lot include sterile water for use in humidification / nebulisation supplied both with and without adaptors for use. Where supplied, adaptors must be compatible with the main oxygen supplier's products (including but not limited to BOC / Air Liquide). Other products also include nebuliser adaptors, humidifier adaptors, humidification columns and heated columns. Products within this Lot include closed and open suction catheters including accessories, further information will be provided within the tender. Products within this Lot will provide a comprehensive range of Yankauer suction tubing and accessories to support in the removal of secretions or fluids. Products within this Lot will provide a comprehensive range of suction canisters, containers, liners, lids of various sizes to be used in conjunction with suction catheters, suction tubing and suction devices for the collection of secretions or fluids. Also included in this Lot are suction canister systems in a variety of canister sizes and associated accessories to meet all suction collection needs. Products are required to be suitable for use within a hospital environment, in particular theatres. Products within this Lot include single bottle chest/thoracic drainage systems, chest / thoracic therapy tubing, chest drainage catheters, chest / thoracic drainage kits and sets, indwelling pleural catheters, chest drain valves and paediatric thoracic trocars and drains. Products within this Lot include haemorrhoid suction ligators, suction machines, and suction devices. Products within this Lot include sample collection devices to be used for tissue collection / sampling and critical measuring, and mucus extractors / traps to be used to obtain a patient specimen for micro-biological examination.
