Tender description

The works are the construction of a boardwalk structure along the French Harbour including the design and detail of the structure’s piled foundations. The works include but are not limited to: Site clearance of the existing guardrail along the French Harbour wall Site clearance of the existing coping along the French Harbour wall Site clearance of existing bituminous bound pavements Site clearance of existing slipway cobbles Site clearance of existing water hydrant Excavation and backfilling of excavations for the north abutment, south abutment, reinforced concrete edge beam, piling and pile caps Design of the structure’s piled foundations Piling for the structure’s foundations Reinforced concrete pile caps Reinforced concrete north abutment Reinforced concrete south abutment Reinforced concrete edge beam Structural steelwork superstructure Corrosion protection of steelwork Waterproofing of the north and south abutments Joints and joint sealing for reinforced concrete elements Timber edge beams, joists, web plates, fascia boards, firring pieces, decking and kickboards Laying of bituminous bound materials to north and south abutments Laying of bituminous bound materials for reinstatements Marshalls ferrocast jersey post and rail pedestrian guardrails Surveys, test and inspections of all elements of the works The works are fully described throughout the Works Information document and the following documents referred to and included elsewhere in Works Information: ?
