Tender description
Gloucestershire County Council is developing its commissioning approach to deliver short term community and accommodation based services. We are working with our partners to co-produce pathways that align broader social care, health and homelessness arrangements with the purpose of supporting people to remain living independently in their own homes, connecting them to their communities and to provide an early intervention and prevention approach to assist people with complex needs in vulnerable circumstances. This will be in line with the Settled Secure and Safe Lives in Gloucestershire policy: https://www.gloucestershire.gov.uk/media/1518375/settled-secure-and-safe-lives-in-gloucestershire-policy-document.pdf We invite providers to a soft market testing event on 24th July 2018 to hear about our plans for the future provision of community and accommodation based services for vulnerable adults, young people and care leavers. Participants will be invited to consider the challenges and opportunities to improve pathways and the users’ experience in Gloucestershire, including: • supporting people in vulnerable circumstances to either retain or regain independent living skills and appropriate accommodation • making best use of the accommodation and support that is available across the County. • a more sophisticated way of evaluating the outcomes achieved by service users and potentially putting a financial value on these This is not a tender event but is an event that should inform future commissioning and procurement options so all views and opinions are welcome. Date: Morning of 24th July 2018 Time and Venue: Gloucester – details will be confirmed following registration. There will be restricted numbers for the event so you must reserve a place by contacting louise.clack@gloucestershire.gov.uk with names, titles and organisation for all those wishing to attend by midday on Monday 16th July 2018. Keywords: accommodation, community based support
