Church Street Independent Tenant Adviser

Tender description

WCC intends to seek tenders under Public Contracts Regulations 2015 for the provision of an Independent Resident Advisor service to tenants and leaseholders of the Council, including commercial leaseholders, within the area of the Church Street Renewal Programme. The Masterplan for the area was adopted in principle in December 2017 and the Council is now working with residents to take the project forward. There are currently over 500 residents in Council owned blocks, 306 tenants and 196 leaseholders, within the renewal area. In Year 1, the successful provider will lead on working with residents to establish a Residents' Engagement Panel and provide support to residents involved in the options assessment design groups. The provider will advise residents on key issues relating to the offer by Westminster City Council to its tenants and leaseholders and ensure there is an effective two-way channel of communication. Westminster places residents at the center of its work and expects the independent advisors to offer a high quality, ethical and trusted service to tenants and leaseholders. Organisations with suitable experience in the support of residents and the community in a regeneration project are encouraged to submit proposals for the service, which is to be provided on a three-year contract.
