Why the Work is Being Done The service will support the continuous development of a bespoke data processng and visualisation platform, focussed on improving the interpretation of communications intelligence data. Problem to Be Solved Lead development service required to lead and guide a team of developers. Who Are the Users Develop and improve development processes; Develop quality software to enhance the asset using agile techniques; Be a technical lead within the team to offer advice around design, architectural decisions, testing and code quality; Take an active role in requirement/story definition for the asset, assisting project managers, business stakeholders and experiment managers with acceptance criteria; Drive best technology and software develoment practises into the team with passion and enthusiasm; Participate in regular showcases of new work to the product owners and business stakeholders. Early Market Engagement Work Already Done Existing Team The processing and visualisation platform consists of open source, bespoke and commercial software. The key system components are Elasticsearch, Kafka and Kibana. These components are integrated with the data processing platform using bespoke Python code. Current Phase Discovery Work Location Work will be undertaken primarily in Vauxhall, London. Working Arrangments The service provider will work closely and collaboratively with the host organisation. The service provider will work under the overall direction of the relevant business lead. The service provider will be responsible for the day-to-day direction under the guidance of the wider management team. The services will be required to be delivered within a defined timescale. All changes to service requirements must be authorised by relevant business lead. Security Clearance The individual must hold SC Enhanced clearance. Additional T&Cs Suppliers will be expected to accept the NCA's additional terms and conditions.
