Tender description

UWS requires the submission of proposals for several low carbon heat and CHP options at Ayr Campus. The proposed options are: option 1— low carbon heat only (with match funding), option 2— low carbon heat only (without match funding), option 3— low carbon heat with CHP, both managed by tenderer (with match funding), option 4— low carbon heat managed by tenderer, with CHP element managed by UWS (with match funding), option 5— low carbon heat with CHP (without match funding), and option 6— low carbon heat managed by tenderer, with CHP element managed by UWS (without match funding). UWS requires the submission of proposals for several low carbon heat and CHP options at Ayr Campus. For indicative purposes only current UWS annual heat demand is approximately 3 248 286 kwh. Requirements. The Scottish Government Low Carbon Innovation Funding deadline is 15.8.2018. Applicants are therefore required to outline in their proposal /methodology for the delivery of the solution with match funding and without match funding. The proposed options are: option 1— low carbon heat only (with match funding), option 2— low carbon heat only (without match funding), option 3— low carbon heat with CHP, both managed by tenderer (with match funding), option 4— low carbon heat managed by tenderer, with CHP element managed by UWS (with match funding), option 5— low carbon heat with CHP (without match funding), and option 6— low carbon heat managed by tenderer, with CHP element managed by UWS (without match funding). It should be noted that match funding would be a maximum of 50 % but may be less if the water source heat pump is over 50 % of costs as we cannot receive grant funding and RHI for this element. The proposed solution must be designed to enable use for education and knowledge transfer visits. Timescale. The project must be commissioned by 30.9.2021.
