CONTRACT FOR ECONOMIC AND HOUSING GROWTH CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

Tender description

The Economic Development Unit has a requirement for a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to monitor and report against all business related interventions. Within Gateshead there are over 5,000 businesses and 9,500 self-employed individuals. The Economic Development Unit provides support to pre start individuals, new and existing businesses located or potentially relocating within Gateshead, in order to encourage local investment and to create jobs. The Economic Development Unit manages the Gateshead Business network and Invest Gateshead - which aim to engage, inform and support local businesses, entrepreneurs and inward investors. The support provided is wide ranging and includes general business signposting and advice, commercial premises searches and recruitment. The service also manages a business centre portfolio and a number of key business accounts. The required CRM system will provide the functionality to manage all business and individual enquiries and relationships, maintain contacts and view interactions, store information and produce reports. The new system will also enable appropriate targeting of businesses to support the creation of new businesses and jobs within the borough. In the future Gateshead Council may wish to integrate the procured CRM system with other systems, including the Council’s digital platform. The required system will therefore have the ability to link with any such arrangement.
