Tender description

The City of York Council is looking to appoint a single contractor to supply, install and construct Hyper Hubs at Park and Ride sites. Hyper hubs consist of: a solar powered energy generation canopy above the car park, an electrical energy storage device, a rapid charging station for domestic vehicles, taxis and buses to draw energy from, a connection to mains grid, and all associated wiring, controllers and required infrastructure. This is a new and creative means of capturing and storing energy, so we are looking for innovative, bespoke solutions. Interested suppliers should email Hyperhubs@york.gov.uk to be added to the supplier list. We will then be able to supply further information. A single contractor is sought to co-design, construct and maintain the Hyper Hubs. A restricted or open process will be used, commencing in September 2018 and finishing by February 2019, if the Authority is awarded a grant it seeks.
