Parachute Equipment Support Contract

Tender description

Notice is given that on 16 December 2016 an Invitation to Tender for provision of Parachute Equipment Support to those economic entities who had been successful at the PQQ stage. The UK Ministry of Defence (MOD) is committed to ensuring the ongoing safety and airworthiness of a suite of parachutes and associated equipment on a 'first time, every time' basis. MOD has a requirement to support parachuting via a range of maintenance and logistics services, including but not limited to the configuration management, maintenance, repair, inventory management, storage, modification, packing and checking of a range of parachutes and parachuting equipment. This requirement is for circa 60,000 repairs, packing instances, checks, etc. of Airborne Forces Equipment (to support personnel parachuting) and Airborne Delivery Equipment (to support stores drops) in total per annum. This is flexible, as is the range of parachutes supported. Other services such as support to exercises at Main and Forward Operating bases may also be required.
