Summary of the work Lead the product development of the Improve the Product Goal which comprises of 2 multi-disciplinary mission teams. Specialist role Product manager Expected Contract Length 6 months Latest start date Tuesday 29 May 2018 Maximum Day Rate £780 Who Speclialist Work With 2 x multi disciplinary product teams, the Verify Product and Delivery leads What Specialists Work On Progress mission goals, effective working with delivery manager/team towards successfully implementing agile process within teams Manage product backlog that is representative of stakeholders' views, work iterated based on feedback of stakeholders which is actively sought by PM. Ensure team are always working on high priority things. Demonstrate how Mission outputs are grounded in and informed by user research and user needs. Ensure suitable reporting/metrics are regularly delivered through fortnightly mission check-ins, plus ad hoc as required. Create and ensure other's outputs are appropriately documented and stored in relevant drives and/or handed over to relevant people per existing GOV.UK Verify processes. Skills & Experience • Experience of managing large public sector agile projects • Agile working / devops methodology • Experience of pipeline creation and hardening for services • Ability to take initiative • Excellent communication skills • Experience of leading teams (pref. multidisciplinary) • Experience in passing on knowledge in a structured way • Experience of stakeholder engagement and management Nice to Haves • Previous experience in local or central government • Experience of Kanban Work Location Government Digital Service, The White Chapel Building, 10 Whitechapel High Street, London, E1 8QS Working Arrangments 4 days a week in the office 1 day working from home/remote (with prior agreement). There is an incumbent supplier however evaluators will consider compliant bids on the basis that awards to the most economically advantageous response that satisfies all the criteria including cultural fit considerations, hence only the only best deemed response as determined by the evaluation panel will be offered the opportunity to contract. 2. Is this a new role to replace an existing resource? This is a new role with new deliverables to fulfil an ongoing requirement. 3. Is there a current incumbent? There is an incumbent supplier however evaluators will consider compliant bids on the basis that awards to the most economically advantageous response that satisfies all the criteria including cultural fit considerations, hence only the only best deemed response as determined by the evaluation panel will be offered the opportunity to contract. 4. If a suitable candidate is found, but has a slightly longer notice period (poss 2 weeks over estimated start date) - Would this still be considered? No our latest start date is 29 May 5. Hi, Can the consultant work for 3 days onsite, 1 day from remote in a week. The consultant can work max for 4 days a week. No, we require 5 days a week with a minimum of 4 days onsite.
