Green Hammerton/Cattal New Settlement

As a starting point for the preparation of the DPD, the Council is seeking to procure services for the preparation of a Concept Framework for the Green Hammerton/Cattal broad location for growth. The preparation of the Concept Framework will achieve the following objectives: • To provide additional evidence to support the Examination of the Harrogate Local Plan, demonstrating what the broad location for growth is capable of delivering in terms of scale, spatial layout and infrastructure. • To identify a preferred option (red line boundary) for the strategic allocation that can form the basis of the New Settlement DPD • To bring together the main land owners and site promoters into a coordinated process of masterplanning; • To provide a mechanism to consult and engage with key stakeholders in the further progression of the project.
