Birmingham City Council seeks to select a panel of contractors to undertake new build and refurbishment works across the wider West Midlands and potentially areas adjacent. The Framework is anticipated to be split in to lots and the estimated project values in excess of 100 000 GBP. Whilst the option for lots have not been selected within the PIN notice it is intended this framework will be broken down into a series of lots. This lot structure will be defined following this market engagement.This Framework will be open to and utilised by other local authorities and Public Sector bodies across the wider West Midlands and the estimated total current spend throughout the framework by Birmingham City Council and other framework users of circa. 100 000 000 GBP p.a. Works are to include but not limited to: — New build works, — Refurbishment and fit out, — Fabric repairs, replacement and installation, — Alteration and extension, — External works, — Associated services which may include for contractors design. The contracting authority reserves the right to award single or multiple lots. The structure of these lots will be confirmed in the contract notice following completion of engagement with the market. Birmingham City Council plans to procure a new framework and is initially seeking to engage with the market before commencing the procurement. The PIN is issued to provide prior notification and gain views from interested contractors on the structure of the new framework. Interested contractors are asked to register at https://in-tendhost.co.uk/birminghamcc to receive a pre-market engagement questionnaire to be returned by 12:00 on 1.6.2018. Birmingham City Council currently have an existing framework called “CWM lot 7” which is due to expire on 30.9.2019.
