Tender description

The provision of a new Pay-on-Foot Car Park Management System (CPMS). The new CPMS will also include Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) facilities at Newarke Street Car Park. Any prospective providers have the opportunity during the Specification advertisement period, to visit Newarke Street Car Park to assess the existing and proposed layouts and where necessary recommend any alternative operational requirements. The Council may be requiring additional installations and/or maintenance however this is neither guaranteed nor exclusive to the successful supplier. The first project will be for Newarke Street Car Park which will include the introduction of a mix of the following equipment: — entry and exit columns, — automatic barriers, — ANPR equipment (Automatic Number Plate Recognition), — Pay-On-Foot machines, — audio and video intercom connections, — networked equipment. For the successful provider, there will be a requirement subsequent to the Newarke Street project to provide a feasibility study on the Haymarket Centre Car Park and provide workable options for converting this to a Pay-on-Foot CPMS including ANPR systems for consideration.
