Tender description

AWARD ONLY OF:- The Bay Foodbank is used by the welfare assistants team to provide food parcels to North Tyneside Council (NTC or the Authority) customers in crisis who are eligible for support as part of local welfare provision. This is approx up to 900 parcel per year. The Authority offers a grant to support the work that the Foodbank does in the community. The foodbank utilises the money to pay a driver to deliver the food parcel each day and an admin worker to manage the referrals as well as purchasing food. In addition for eligible residents receiving parcels, they also provide parcels for client referrals ( as instructed from NTC) not eligible for support from NTC but are in crisis as well as referrals from other agencies.
