Supply of Scoop Ice Cream to Cliffs of Moher Centre

The Cliffs of Moher Visitor Experience is one of Ireland largest visitor attractions attracting over 1.4 million visitors in 2016. Located on the west coast of County Clare the iconic Cliffs stretch for 8 kilometers along the Atlantic Ocean and rise to 214 meters at their highest point. The Cliffs of Moher Visitor Experience opened to the public in February 2007 and has been operating as the primary point to visit the Cliffs of Moher for the past eight years. The visitor centre and site are owned by Clare County Council and operated and managed on the local authority’s behalf by a subsidiary company Cliffs of Moher Centre Ltd. There are two cafes within the Cliffs of Moher Visitor Experience. The Puffin’s Nest Café on the ground floor of the centre is a 30 seat unit operated by a tenant company – An Café Beag Teoranta. This unit is not part of the tender process. The Cliffs View Café situated on the first floor of the visitor centre is a larger 120 seat unit with full kitchen facilities. The café is part of the Clare County Council facility operated and managed on its behalf by Cliffs of Moher Centre Ltd. The contracting authority is Clare County Council. Clare County Council is seeking tenders for the procurement of ice cream supplier for the Cliffs View Café for a period of 12 months from June 2017 to May 2018. The Contracting Authority reserves the right to extend the term for two further periods of 12 months on the same terms and conditions, subject to the Contracting Authority’s obligation at law. It is emphasised that the continuation of the contract beyond the initial 12 month period will be contingent upon the successful delivery of the initial contract(s).
