Summary of the work Requirement for a Fortinet expert to assist with the planning, implementation and testing of Data Leakage Prevention controls on existing user internet gateway (Proxy). Specialist role Cyber security consultant Expected Contract Length Maximum 2 years, with first Statement of Work for 10 days spread over 4 months. Latest start date Monday 5 February 2018 Maximum Day Rate £1,000 – £2,500 per day Who Speclialist Work With The specialist will be working with the Cyber Infrastructure team. The cyber infrastructure team has internet gateway engineers who will assist the specialist with access to the required platforms and act as the internal subject matter experts. What Specialists Work On The specialist will be providing expertise in the area of Fortinet web data leakage prevention. The customer has a set of requirements outlining the types of data that must be protected and the specialist will turn this into configuration that will result in the necessary protection being enabled. The specialist will liaise with the client to test the planned configuration and will assist in troubleshooting and documenting the end solution. Skills & Experience • Have experience working with Fortinet Professional Services • Hold active Fortinet certifications • Have experience with FortiWeb in the last 3 years • Be familiar with and have experience with the use of DLP controls • Have hands on, in depth experience with the use of regular expressions for text identification, binary identification, metadata and base64 • Have a solid grasp of client/proxy transactions, authentication and SSL inspection Nice to Haves • Have AWS experience relating to network flows, load balancing and internet breakout • Significant understanding, expertise and experience of working within Government departments, the general business operations, data, organisational structures, systems and processes Work Location Main location for the work will be at Croydon, with frequent travel to central London. Some travel might be required to other Home Office locations Working Arrangments Professional working days, onsite as required. Offsite and remote working is not possible due to the role requirements. Day rates to be inclusive of travel and subsistence expenses within M25. Travel to regional sites to be agreed, expenses incurred from travel outside of the M25/Greater London will be subject to Home Office Travel and Subsistence Policy. Security Clearance Home Office SC clearance required or willingness to go through SC process. Can you be clearer as to the days you will need someone for this role. You state it is 10 days over 4 months initially but will it always be a part-time/ad hoc work or will it be 5 days a week after the initial 4 months. The requirement is for 10 days of effort, which will be utilised ad-hoc within the initial 4 months' Statement of Work. After this period, any further days will be called-off in additional Statements of Work only if required. 2. Given your answer to question 1 would it be possible for some of the 10 days work to be done at the weekend? The working arrangements will be professional working days during the week only. Weekend work will not be required, and is not possible due to site access and team availability. If the need for out-of-hours work does arise, this will be subject to agreement. 3. Is this role assessed as inside or outside of the IR35 regulations? This role is deemed to be outside of IR35.
