Dr Challoner’s has a large Sixth Form of over 400 students, predominantly due to the fact that the vast majority of Year 11s continue their education with the School. In addition to these students the School also welcome around 40 new students, from a range of schools, who quickly settle in and readily form a single cohesive student body with those students who have continued into the Sixth Form from Year 11. In order to accommodate this many students the School has recently completed a new and impressive Sixth Form Centre which features outstanding study facilities, the Milton Library and a branded Café. Student Numbers: Years 12 and 13: 410. Total eligible for Free School Meals: none. Service Times Start / Finish: All Day Service. Pricing Price: Current Turnover Circa 130 000 (ex VAT). Current Contractor: Current Service Provider is Café Africa. The service times shall be agreed between the Contractor and the Client at the outset of the Contract; however, the minimum service opening times shall be 8.00 — 14:00 during normal term time. This opportunity is for companies to put forward proposals and pricing for a full commercial service to the Sixth Form; VAT will be on a total Principal Basis (input and output) i.e. Students pay 20% VAT on all food and beverages consumed on site. The Contractor will be expected to make suitable investment into the business to ensure a high end (High Street Style) “Coffee Bar” service is maintained throughout the contract tenure; although the seating in the Café area is provided by the School. The School also expects a fair financial return (rent) to cover other service and utility costs. The contract for the Main School Catering Service is being advertised as a totally separate contract and will be let as a separate lot. However, bidding companies are welcome to tender for both service contracts; but as separate contracts. Both lots will have a 5 year tenure (3 years with an option for the school to extend for a further 2 years). Only companies who are genuinely interested and have the ability to provide the investment funding that will be required in this valuable long term commercial opportunity are asked to respond.
