Hockerill enjoys a rich and varied heritage. Originally established in the early 1850s, it was a teacher training college until 1978. It re-opened in 1980 as a co-educational boarding school until 1994 when it became grant maintained. Hockerill Anglo-European College is now a co-educational day and boarding College for approximately 900 students aged 11 to 18. The College accepts applications from students with a current British or EU passport, and provides a dynamic, vibrant and exciting learning environment. The College offers a rigorous and broad curriculum, and is proud to be one of the largest state Colleges offering the prestigious International Baccalaureate Middle Years and Diploma programmes. With a twin focus on the 2 specialisms of Languages and Music, Hockerill offers a truly distinct setting for a world-class education. Located in beautiful grounds on the edge of Bishop’s Stortford the College is in close proximity to London and the South East of England. The College require their catering service contractor to provide a very high quality food offer within a meal cost pricing structure. The following table details the number of meals served throughout the week. In addition there is a requirement for hospitality, summer school lets and client issues. The turnover for the current catering service is between 900 000 and 1 000 000 per annum.
