Norfolk County Council's Local Area Network underpins all of the Authorities business services and therefore is crucial infrastructure. The Authority will be seeking to procure and implement a modern, simpler and faster Local Area Network to replace its legacy infrastructure. The LAN Refresh procurement is broken down into the following key elements: 1) Core LAN including Core LAN switches and routers located within the County Hall data centre, firewalls and load balancers; 2) Access LAN; 3) Wireless; 4) Management and Security tools. However, due to budgetary and time constraints the Council may choose to contract for only a subset of the above elements.
