Northern Gas Networks (NGN) is considering options for the provision of Amazon Web Services (AWS) planning, purchasing and billing support. The purpose of this event is to contract with an accredited AWS partner to manage NGN’s planning, purchase and billing for AWS and to provide some consultancy and support to help the delivery of projects hosted in AWS. NGN hosts and plans to host a number of services in AWS. These include S4 HANA, BPC, BW 4 HANA and NGN’s system control applications. These are /will be hosted in secure virtual private data centres. Northern Gas Networks (NGN) has a requirement for an AWS advanced consulting partner to offer support with the planning, purchasing and billing for AWS. The opportunity may include consultancy and support to help with the delivery of projects hosted in AWS. NGN will be looking for innovative ideas that could add significant value whilst reducing costs within the new contract. The service provided by the successful supplier should include: — AWS billing, — AWS capacity reservation and planning, — proactive ideas to improve NGN’s use of AWS, — consultancy support on upcoming projects, — support to resolve hosting major incidents, — support with back-ups, — support during AWS zone disaster events, — monthly management Information on costs, — monthly service review meetings.
