Tender description
Liverpool City Council requires testing, maintenance and repair services for passenger & goods lifts fitted to City Council vehicles. The Contractor must be aware that many of the services provided by the City Council are subject to value for money reviews and the size of the fleet is subject to variation. The fleet may also vary as a result of changes brought about by the introduction of contract hire vehicles or reduction in services provided. The Contractor should also be aware that for legislative, environmental, technical, development, social, economic or budgetary reasons or for the satisfactory performance of the council’s services, it may be necessary to vary the contract or the extent thereof. Therefore quantities of work cannot be guaranteed and can be reduced without charge to the council or recompense to the contractor The council is continually exploring initiatives for collaborative working with other public sector bodies which may increase or decrease the fleet size. This may include adding school based minibuses to the contract, therefore all contractors employees that attend such establishments may be required to obtain an Enhanced DBS check at their own cost if required. The successful contractor may on occasions be asked to provide equipment familiarity training to tail lift operators within the council. As part of this contract the council may request that up to 10 members of staff or drivers are given such training at no additional cost. Numbers above 10 will be charged at the appropriate hourly rate Keywords: Tail Lift, Vehicle
