Further to PIN 2017/S 247-517610, despatched 21.12.2017, Crown Commercial Service (CCS) intends to put in place a Pan Government Agreement for the provision of Office Supplies for Central Government Departments and all other UK Public Sector Bodies. CCS is reviewing the current Office Supplies landscape and requirements including: 1. The structure, number and type of Office Supplies agreements; 2. The current split of Office Supplier and Electronic Office Supplies (currently separate Lots); 3. Commercial models – e.g. core lists, supplier catalogue with discount, open book, cost plus etc; 4. Technology solutions – e.g. use of a commoditised “click and buy” solution, incorporation of a purchasing platform, dynamic purchasing system (DPS) solution etc; 5. Options for national, regional and local supply; 6. Approaches to service wraps (e.g. timed / secure deliveries, desktop deliveries etc); 7. Agility and flexibility, but always best value for the customer. The purpose of this Prior Information Notice (PIN) is: (a) To give advance notice that Crown Commercial Service (CCS) (as the Contracting Authority) is working to undertake a tendering exercise to set up a new commercial vehicle to service Public Sector Office Products. It is intended that the new commercial vehicle will replace the current CCS Office Supplies Agreements (RM3703 andRM3723). This commercial vehicle will be enabled for use by all UK Public Sector organisations including but not limited to Central Government Departments, NHS Bodies, Local Authorities, Emergency Services, Charities and Educational Establishments who have a need for office products. Crown Commercial Service invites interested wholesalers, suppliers and retailers of office supplies (including electronic office supplies) to provide information and feedback to support the development of this commercial vehicle, with a particular focus on the areas listed in I1.1.4 above.
