Tender description

Non-exclusive framework agreement for the supply to the NHS Supply Chain customer base via the Non-Direct routes of Stock, Blue Diamond and E-Direct. Product range to include, but not limited to: Lot 1: Wound drainage products; Lot 2: Post-operative autologous blood system products (kit and consumables); Lot 3: Intra-operative blood systems products (kits,machines and consumables). Precise quantities are unknown. It is anticipated that initial expenditure will be in the region of 3 000 000 GBP to 4 000 000 GBP in the first year of this FAG, however this is approximate only and may vary depending on the requirements of those bodies purchasing under the FAG. The estimated value over the total FAG term will be in the reigion of 12 000 000 GBP to 16 000 000 GBP. NHS Supply Chain is currently considering the use of lots for this procurement. However, it reserves the right not to as part of any future tender process. Further information in respect of the lot strategy will be set out in the notice for the forthcoming procurement. Products that are within scope of this lot shall include, but shall not be limited to, products used in connection with the following types of products and systems: — Low vacuum wound drainage systems and products. — High vacuum wound drainage systems and products. — Passive/gravity drainage systems and products. Silicone Drain systems and products. The requirement is for all post-operative autologous (otherwise known as transfusion or auto-transfusion) blood system products, including kits and consumable products. The requirement is for intra-operative autologous blood system products used in the medical procedure that involves recovering blood lost during surgery and re-infusing blood, or blood products, into the patient. The range of products that can be supplied under this lot includes all products that are used in connection with this type of procedure.
